Meet the Leadership

Tim and Jessie Stoel

Lead Pastors

Tim and Jessie both grew up in hard-working, blue-collar communities in Michigan. Tim came to know the Lord during his senior year of high school after a difficult childhood marked by terminal muscular dystrophy and several years of involvement in Wicca. Jessie knew about Christ from an early age, but it was not until college that she was radically saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit, and began a deep personal relationship with the Lord.

They met in a music theory class at Grand Valley State University near Grand Rapids, Michigan. During their college years, they committed their lives to following Jesus while attending and serving at Resurrection Life Church in Grandville.

Tim and Jessie were married as they finished college and later moved to Arizona to start an electronics business. While continuing to run the business, they began attending Phoenix Seminary. Over time, what began as a move for business became part of a larger calling into ministry. After graduating, they eventually stepped away from business to serve the local church through preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.

Outside of ministry, they enjoy exploring Arizona off-road, computer programming, electronic design, and playing music.

Teri Ferguson

Teaching/Healing Ministry

Teri Ferguson leads our Teaching Ministry with an emphasis on healing and equipping believers for service. She also supports Women's Ministry by helping women embrace God's love, heal, and grow into their God-given gifts.

Michelle Elkins

Women's Ministry

Michelle is a wife and mother of two who loves God and her family. She is passionate about women walking alongside one another, iron sharpening iron, as they seek an intimate relationship with Christ. Michelle’s heart is to see women know their identity in Christ and truly flourish in the fullness and freedom that have been redeemed for them.

Mark Purney

Worship Ministry

Mark serves on the worship team and with the altar prayer ministry. Mark is an electrical engineer and piano technician. Along with his wife, Dawn, they run a local piano service business and a supply company that designs and manufactures products used by the piano industry.

Dawn Purney

Worship & Prayer Ministry

Dawn sings on the worship team and helps Joyce Miller with Prayer, as well as praying on the Altar Ministry. The rest of the week, Dawn helps run their small family business, including herding cats and 3D printers.

Toni Cinque

Children's Ministry

Toni is the leader of KIDS CHURCH. It is her joy and responsibility to ensure that each child receives appropriate instruction in both the OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS to increase their knowledge of GOD. Lessons include prayer, memorizing memory verses, and meaningful activities that help them develop a stronger relationship with GOD and share with their families!

Sharon Bergkoetter

Missions Ministry

Sharon is a nurse who is a missionary with the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. She partners with Southeast Asia prayer center to serve in Cambodia. When in Cambodia she does health assessments on the children in children’s homes. She also teaches in English in primary schools and teaches first aid in the high schools in the Bantay Menchey province. Her primary focus is to show the Khmer people the love of Christ and help them come to faith in Him. When she is in the States she serves with the tech team, the altar ministry, and assists in children’s ministry.
